This course is designed to familiarize the practicing cardiologist with the use of non-cardiac peripheral CTA principles applied to clinical practice. Emphasis will be placed on image interpretation and integration into clinical practice. At least 50 cases will be reviewed during the course. The course will offer basic skills in the interpretation of carotid, renal vascular and peripheral vascular CTA interpretation. Indications, disease entities and therepeutic options will be discussed in each anatomic area of study.

Review all necessary and pertinent anatomy

Discuss the patient selection process

Discuss peripheral CTA acquisition and workstation post-processing techniques

Discuss limitations of CTA in diagnosing and quantifying arterial disease compared to other imaging modalities

Discuss integration of peripheral CTA into the clinical practice setting

Review a minimum of 50 peripheral case studies in an interactive group environment

Hands-on review of peripheral case studies using a workstation
